The natural jute rug is contrasting coloured and very generously sized. The edges are finished with a ruffled border, creating a carefree beach atmosphere. Thanks to the use of jute, the rug is very heat-permeable and can easily be placed on heated floors. Material Jute is a vegetable material. The grass grows in a tropical environment, the jute fibres are extracted from the pith of the stems, then washed, dried, oiled and spun into yarn. The jute items in our collections are coarsely woven to achieve a robust look. Jute is quite stiff but can be coloured very well because of this, pigment adheres thoroughly to the coarse fibres. Clean the jute item with a slightly damp brush with soft bristles.
